Roxy's head tilt is definitely gone. She is still tired sometimes but for the most part is feeling much better. Some days she has more energy than others. She is playful and brings me her toys. The first couple of weeks she did not have interest in her toys at all.
I tried to drop her prednisone down to 5 mg per day, but it seemed that she was stumbling a little more. I will hope to drop the prednisone next Wednesday which will be 7 weeks from the cyberknife treatment. It seems that her rear legs are not as strong as they used to be, and that she is has a very slight drag to her rear paw occasionally. This afternoon we went to the park and she was happy looking for squirrels, although we did not find any. No one would ever know that there was anything happening in her brain.
Liz, thank you for checking in. You are doing wonderful things and I am happy that our paths have crossed.

Way to GO Roxy! Max was tired for a couple of months after his cyber knife treatment. He perked up and then got a little more lethargic for the next 2.5 months so don't be alarmed if that happens. In reading about how humans respond and feel after CK that seemed to be the normal way they responded as well. At the suggestion of our regular neurologist we have kept Max on prednisone (it's been 7 months) I've been working to wean him down. He is currently on 10mg every 4 days. I have drawn it out to every 5-6 days but he seemed to be having a little eye droop (but there were some environmental issues - like heavy pollen and he has a cut on that eye that was drooping so I'm waiting until the pollen is gone to try again.. Sounds like Roxy is doing great!!! Keep it up Rox!! You are a lucky girl to have an awesome mom and doctors who take such good care of you!!!
hello! i ran into this blog because we are facing a similar situation where our dog has an inoperable aggressive tumor near his brain severely affecting his eyesight. We just got quoted $15,000 for advanced radiation treatment so we are trying to figure out what we can do. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your blog and learning the process and recovery! Best Wishes!
